Georges Auffrey of Dieppe (formerly of Pré-d'en-Haut) passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, December 2nd, 2006 at the age of 79.

Born in Amsbrury, Ma, he was the son of the late Zoël Auffrey and the late Léola Richard. He was a Transport Driver for CN until his retirement and was a member of Golden Age Club of Pré-d'en-Haut.

He is survived by his wife, Anita (Gautreau) Auffrey; one daughter, Georgette (Bernard) LeBlanc of Pré-d'en-Haut; two step-daughters, Debra (Leonard) Jewer of Toronto and Diana Steeves of Pentincton, BC; two brothers, Laurie (late Wilma) Auffrey and Francis (Clémence) Auffrey both of Moncton; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great grand-children; one special aunt, Marguerite Melanson; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anna (Gautreau) in 1972; one son, Charles; one, sister, Lilianne.

Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic church, Pré-d'en-Haut on Wednesday, December 6th, 2006 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery.
